In line with the professional development of teachers, gaining more and more importance all over the world, the significance of master programs is increasing gradually. As indicated in the "2023 Education Vision Document" by the Ministry of National Education, establishing collaborations with universities and providing opportunities for graduate studies to complete their Master’s was underlined in order to support professional development of teachers and help them to become lifelong learning individuals. This program, which is equipped with information for the teachers who carry out English lessons at all level schools under the Ministry of National Education, can share their experiences with their colleagues by following the developments related to their fields, learn current teaching methods and research and use them directly in their own lessons.
Meeting the professional development needs of the English teachers working in 40 TED schools in different parts of the country affiliated with the Turkish Education Association (TED), with the current theories and practices, also increases the importance of the proposed program.
The need to have a master's degree in order to be hired as lecturers who aim to work in the School of Foreign Languages further explains the significance of the program.
The offered Master's degree programs will also be able to serve to train the future academicians who are planning to work as research assistants in universities.
The Master's Programs both with and without Thesis are conducted in English within the framework of the TEDU Quality Certificate.
